[15:58:07] * felix waves!
[16:47:24] * michel waves at felix
[16:47:42] <michel> so... while there are people here. any idea if ctrl-c will get upgraded to a new Ubuntu release anytime soon?
[16:47:43] <felix> Hello again!
[16:47:59] <felix> You'll have to ask our host, sorry.
[16:51:54] <michel> I emailed him. Will need to check if there's a reply
[16:53:19] <felix> What are you missing?
[17:33:58] <michel> felix: nothing much right now apart from some tools are super old (I had to tweak my tmux config to get it back working). but... Ubuntu 14.04 LTS has been unsupported since last year
[17:34:43] <felix> I didn't keep track. Fair enough.
[17:53:54] <ben> i think calamitous is planning an upgrade
[17:54:01] <ben> to either debian buster or ubuntu focal
[17:56:59] <felix> Best of luck!
[17:57:28] <ben> i just upgraded tilde.team from ubuntu 18.04 to 20.04
[17:57:50] <ben> i made it harder than it needed to be and ended up creating an entirely new VM
[17:58:09] <felix> Aw.
[17:58:25] <ben> but it turned out pretty well
[18:02:05] <felix> Good to hear!
[18:26:06] -!- felix has quit [Client exited]
[20:17:06] <michel> 14.04 to 20.04 would be fun. I wonder at what point is it easier to just jump straight to the latest and import people's home directories
[22:00:18] -!- frigginglorious has quit [Client exited]
[22:14:08] -!- anton has quit [quit: WeeChat 2.8]
[22:16:22] <ben> i did it coming from 18.04 lol
[22:16:30] <ben> but i had already upgraded once from 16->18
[22:16:52] -!- anton [anton!anton@198.27.111.136] has joined #ctrl-c
[23:23:23] <michel> ben: I wonder if being on Debian testing and periodically dist-upgrading is easier in the long term
