[19:07:51] <michel> wholesomedonut: ah yeah. I just tend not to think of C as a middle-level language - most of its features translate quite directly to assembly (though you get the benefit of using an optimizing compiler). that begs the question of what sort of languages Rust and C++ are too.
[19:08:59] <michel> This is probably why many people like Golang - almost as efficient as C/C++/Rust since it's directly compiled but reasonably simple to learn
