[14:35:12] <felix> I like warmth.
[14:38:23] <felix> Mostly, around here it got very dry as time went on, and that means snowless winters.
[14:38:38] <felix> Which in turn means *cold* winters, because snow is an insulator.
[14:43:24] <lovetocode999> Oh, you don't have snow? How sad.
[14:50:26] <felix> Nope! This year we had a little *once* in late November.
[14:50:39] <felix> That hadn't happened in decades.
[14:50:57] <felix> So we were kinda hoping for a somewhat normal winter.

[15:25:39] <felix> Yeah, it messes with agriculture. And it will only get worse.

[15:27:53] <fleg> I feel the climate change as well. We had only one day of snow so far, wonder if we'll get any more
[15:30:23] <felix> Sounds even worse than here.
[15:31:00] <felix> And well, the more time passes, the more weather will change.
[15:34:53] <fleg> It's not like in thr 90 it was a winter wonderland around here, but com on
[15:35:32] <fleg> I want to be angry again because snow has gotten in my shoes, melted and my feet are al wet and I'm getting cold

[15:36:33] <felix> Here, it used to be when I was a kid.
[16:03:01] <fleg> I'm living in a pretty dry area, so it was usually some snow, then a quick positive temperatures that caused snow to become a mess, and then negative temperatures again to make this mess a slippery mess
[16:08:59] <felix> Yikes. Sounds about right.
[16:10:00] <fleg> still though, it's getting to the point where I consider simply not chaniging the tires from summer ones to winter ones because it doesn't make much sense

[16:12:59] <fleg> I mean, for almost a year now I'm a work-from-home-r

[16:13:11] <fleg> driving a car in the city is a misunderstanding
[16:22:46] <felix> Yay, I'm not crazy for thinking that.
[16:23:42] <fleg> I mean, there are situations where this is a sad neccesity, but it's definitely worse than the alternatives
[16:24:01] <fleg> fortunately lately there have been more and more bike paths built around here

[18:45:19] <felix> I'll be at home as always, and you?
[18:49:32] <lovetocode999> Same! My family usually celebrates a "New York New Year's", since they hit midnight two hours before we do, and we watch the ball drop.
[18:50:10] <lovetocode999> And then, my sister and myself stay up till our midnight with our parents, since we are the oldest.
[18:50:25] <lovetocode999> Oldest in our family, that is ;)
