Welcome to my page!
Online since 1995, I've been on the 'net under many names. I prefer to stay reasonably anonymous (like many from that generation, I bet).
I'll mention these facts about me, though: I'm in my late thirties, I work in IT (Linux, system administration, and a lot of DevOps stuff), and I live in Germany.
To join a pubnix, any pubnix to be perfectly honest. CTRL-C had the best looking homepage ;)
I really like the Unix philosophy and everything that comes with it, including the need for digital minimalism. When we started networking computers and sending data between them, instead of reading information off of local storage, that's when things went wrong.
So I'm looking for this romanticized "ideal" Unix system. You won't see me get excited for Gopher, for example, because that's just another network protocol. As far as I'm concerned, the real magic happens within the machine, not without.
