Today, I found a simple method to activate Dropbox support on my Kobo Libra 2. Now I can add new books to my reader just copying them to Dropbox-directory.

Follow these steps to install NickelMenu into your e-reader:

  1. Connect your Kobo eReader to your computer via USB.
  2. Download KoboRoot.tgz and place it in KOBOeReader/.kobo.
  3. Safely eject your eReader and allow it to reboot.
  4. After reboot there is a new menu item titled NickelMenu.

Once NickelMenu is successfully installed, proceed to enable Dropbox support by adding the following line to the configuration file at KOBOeReader/.adds/nm/config:

line:menu_item:main:dropbox:nickel_open:library:dropbox

NickelMenu now has a dedicated Dropbox button. Simply clicking on this button takes you to the configuration page for connecting to Dropbox.
