Here are some quick tips that I learned from reading iris topics as a newcomer:

- In iris, the first line of one's message is the subject line
- You have an @ctrl-c.club e-mail address, and the inbox can be accessed with
mutt or alpine
- Press 's' to save a message with alpine, then it can be deleted from the
inbox on exit
- In irssi, connect with: /connect -ssl irc.ctrl-c.club
- Use the `finger` command to see details about a user, including what is in
their .project and .plan files if they have one
