[09:26:50] <Calamitous> Sure, do you have <http://Ctrl-C.club|Ctrl-C.club> account? You can sign up here: <http://goo.gl/forms/oviL1wYSrV>
[09:27:09] <Calamitous> I'm in the American Midwest. How about yourself?
[09:27:44] * CaN from indonesian
[09:28:18] <CaN> what your goal for ctrl club?
[09:31:08] <Calamitous> Very cool! :) We have members from all over the world. <http://ctrl-c.club/~bear/where.html>
[09:32:00] <Calamitous> The goal is to have a place for people to try out new programming languages, set up their own websites, or just learn some linux commands.
[09:32:20] <CaN> uh i see
[09:32:44] <CaN> u like a angel bro
[09:33:06] <CaN> can I study with you?
[09:33:37] <CaN> can I scan dork here using a bot?
[09:34:19] <CaN> I have filled out the google form using the blacky username
[09:34:23] <Calamitous> You're welcome to sign up for an account. I'm not sure what you mean by "scan dork"?
[09:36:16] <CaN> I want to try the demo to you
[09:38:27] <Calamitous> Sure thing, your account should be all set up. It's not a demo, though, just a free account. :)
[09:39:18] <CaN> k
[09:40:05] <CaN> I want to study program language, can you help?
[09:40:29] <CaN> like a geographic information system
[09:42:18] <Calamitous> <http://Ctrl-C.club|Ctrl-C.club> is an environment where you can try out what you're learning without too much trouble, but we don't really have any courses or anything like that.
[09:42:50] <Calamitous> There are many, many resources online for learning programming languages, though.
[09:43:35] <Calamitous> If you have a language or environment you want to try out that we don't already have set up, ping me and we can prbably get it set up.
[09:44:49] <CaN> waw
[09:45:43] <CaN> okay, besides being on IRC, where else can I meet you?
[09:46:31] <Calamitous> We have a text forum on the server called `iris`, it saves messages so that you don't have to catch someone when they happen to be online.
[09:46:47] <CaN> Have you ever played PostGIS?
[09:46:48] <Calamitous> There's also a mail service once you ssh in.
[09:47:13] <Calamitous> Yes, I've done a little PostGIS
[09:47:57] <CaN> can I see, what made you with PostGIS?
[09:48:24] <Calamitous> Unfortunately, that was all at my day job, so I'm not allowed to share that code.
[09:48:37] <Calamitous> Did you have a specific question?
[09:49:23] <CaN> yes the project that has been made i mean?
[09:51:01] <Calamitous> Well, it was a proprietary API for insurance companies to locate doctors with specific specialties in specific geographic areas, but it was part of a service for insurance companies, and not publicly available.
[09:53:44] <CaN> ok
[09:54:24] <CaN> how long does this free SSH apply?
[09:54:59] <CaN> is root access?
[09:55:54] <Calamitous> Well, as long as we keep the service going. There's no limit on the life of the account.
[09:56:16] <Calamitous> No, there's no root access. :) It's a shared resource, so everybody's on the same server.
[09:58:24] <CaN> what service was established since what year?
[09:59:22] <CaN> can I ask for your recommendations about PostGIS learning?
[10:00:38] <CaN> how much memory is given for SSH free?
[10:10:52] <Calamitous> <http://Ctrl-c.club|Ctrl-c.club> has been around for about 3 years. There's no hard storage limit, but generally a few hundred megs of usage is okay.
[10:11:10] <Calamitous> There are some details here: <http://ctrl-c.club/faq.html>
[10:12:29] <Calamitous> I don't know of any PostGIS resources off the top of my head, but the official site is probably a good place to start: <https://postgis.net/workshops/postgis-intro/>
[10:18:00] <CaN> ok thx bro
[10:18:07] <Calamitous> No problem
[10:34:59] <CaN> how to do a custom domain in SSH?
[10:37:24] <Calamitous> We don't really offer custom domains on <http://Ctrl-C.club|Ctrl-C.club>. Depending on what you're want to do, if you already have a domain, you may be able to point an A record at our server or something along those lines.
[10:39:34] <CaN> ok
[10:41:42] <CaN> SSH doesn't have a database?
[10:43:57] <Calamitous> Yep, we have postgres for sure, and I think we have mysql as well.
