[15:27:27] <felix> Firing up gFTP to upload changed pages from my desktop now feels clunky.
[15:29:12] <felix> I have to do that with my big sites because they're on shared hosting.

[16:22:54] <calamitous> I do a lot of my development on VPS instances I spin up as I need.

[16:30:06] <felix> Those were rather more expensive when I started my sites.
[16:32:49] <calamitous> Yeah, most of mine are about $20/mo, but it's a business expense, so nbd.
[16:33:14] <calamitous> DigitalOcean has them as cheap as $5/mo, iirc, if you need something lightweight.
[16:34:18] <felix> Maybe when my disposable income is a bit larger. :)
[16:46:03] <felix> In all fairness, I use Linux at home. I just can't host online services.
[16:50:11] <felix> Though my bigger shared host can actually run NextCloud!
