[08:21:01] <murteza> hello tildezens
[08:21:57] <murteza> I am (kinda) new to Tildeverse and I wan to move my static webpage to one of the members of Tildeverse
[08:22:13] <xwindows> And?
[08:23:38] <murteza> I may need technical assistance as I am new to talking to remote computers too
[08:25:30] <murteza> I see that ctrl-c.club isn't https, but my website is. Can I still use https certs from let's encrypt ?
[08:28:23] <xwindows> You'll have to wait for the answer from #ctrl-c admin for that then.
[08:29:51] <xwindows> The setup of user's public_html on Ctrl-C is folder-based AFAIK, so I don't think a special accomodation is available.
[08:30:41] <xwindows> (Each tilde server has different setup in this aspect)
[08:32:04] <murteza> My website is generated with Pelican Static Site generator and it is a folder.
[08:32:59] <xwindows> murteza: I meant the URL scheme, i.e. http://ctrl-c.club V.S. http://username.ctrl-c.club
[08:34:00] <xwindows> ^ The first one means shared server, the second one can be either be shared or separate server.
[08:34:40] <xwindows> Ctrl-C runs by the first scheme, AFAIK.
[08:34:42] <murteza> does that mean my blog could be a mask in DNS settings to http://murteza.ctrl-c.club
[08:37:34] <xwindows> As I already said, Ctrl-C (as far as I know) use the first scheme, so no.
[08:38:14] <xwindows> Tilde.team however, use hybrid of both.
[08:40:26] <xwindows> So URLs like https://tilde.team and https://cmccabe.tilde.team serve the same thing.
[08:40:49] <xwindows> (And Tilde.team forces HTTPS-only serving, if that is your concern)
[08:41:07] <murteza> Thanks for your help.
[08:41:53] * xwindows settled on Tilde.club specially because they do HTTP/HTTPS dual-serve however.
[08:42:52] <xwindows> If you would like to ask things about various tilde servers, you can go to the #helpdesk.
[09:10:04] <murteza> Thanks again for your help and time :D
