I did not remember I had this one until I started working on the webjam. It was behind some other books. I haven't read it, and I don't think I ever will. A collection of short stories; one of her favorite books.

She was not the type of person who had many favorite books, or movies or songs or things in general. Always changing. But Polaris was a stable one.

When I met her, she had it with her. She had already read it, of course. But she kept going back at it, so it wasn't a strange sight in our messy room.

The last time I saw her, it still was in her possession. That's when I got it: her suitcase was too heavy already, and needed to leave some things behind. So I stayed and kept her book. She was good at it, leaving things behind, I mean. I, on the other hand, am a hoarder, just in case you hadn't noticed yet.

So I think it must have been one of her favorites, if she kept it all those years. I think it brought peace to her, and made her feel more at home, comfortable, you know? She is not the type of person that owns many things. How many books must she even have nowadays? Not many, no more than ten, I bet. So it was special for her, that I know for sure. Maybe I was a little bit like Polaris as well.

My Danish is not good enough to take a stab at it, and I have no need to learn any longer. I can't bring myself to throw it out, so I will have to stash it somewhere.
