I am ever so slightly back. I haven't written a post in a year. I grew weary of much of the daily content on Antenna and wasn't finding the kinds of things I wanted to read. I also threw myself into some other hobbies and creative practices, and started to faze out of spending time on the Ctrl-C tilde as I wasn't feeling inspired. I started using a RSS feed reader after years of seeing others extol its virtues and when I finally found a feed reader I liked more of the content I wanted to read started to come to me! I am using Feeds, the News Reader for Gnome, which also seems to be called Gfeeds in some places. Okay.
So for about half a year or more I've not been on Gemini much. I occasionally opened Elaho client on my phone, checked Antenna or Chilly Weather, then disappeared. But in the past month or so I've been back more often, almost every day.
Funny enough, I am using Hopper, the Gemini and Gopher client for Playdate handheld game device.
Tkers Gemini home, creator of Hopper
The creator of Hopper built a directory for Gemini capsules from the Playdate community and there is also hosting available as well:
If you have a playdate, Hopper can be sideloaded easily.
I've been enjoying casually picking up the Playdate and reading some logs, checking the weather with Chilly Weather, and some gemipedia articles. I even browse BBS and some other web sites with proxies occasionally, and have placed a few more cc licensed articles from others on my server to have some content to read on here occasionally.
Not sure if this will be just a short phase or longer, but that's where I'm at. Cheers.
