so here is another entry for this little .txt log. txtlog, a lil whatever-whatever, a somethin-somethin - a thing worth d*** but here because reasons. I lack a true purpose for a continual log. In fact, I LOVE Write.as, but, as I owe $9, and will (possibly) spring for th $60 for a full year (two months free), and just stay on that platform (7+ years there now), I figure I need some sort of own/control the site/platform type of...platform. I wanted it to be SDF, as they have been around for so long, but I won't because of their `mkhomepg` BS they use to public sites to the actual web. Ctrl-c is about as simple as it gets, as with any little Linux VPS. Still, I mull the question: why? writing, logging, any of it, I've done it so long that it becomes a non-need/desire for me. Though I like daily updates, like Mike from Mike's Places (or whatever he calls his site these days). Writing/blogging isn't a "curse", it's a damn off/side-hobby. Not needed, just there, and (sometimes) desired for folks like me (the ones who wrote daily for years and years and years. so Ill put things wherever, whenever, deleting often, sometimes everything I have online. Sometime everything I ever wrote to my knowledge on this Earth. And that'ss the beauty of writing - an ephemeral act of IT when I am DOING IT. And sometimes the words come online, and usually they do. Then they're gone. From anywhere. The most valued things (I've learned) are the things that have a time and place. Not longevity or record. until later...
