   This week's post is the fifth  of a monthly series of open-discussion posts
   focusing  on books  I've  written. Our  theme for  the  present is  Mystery
   Teachings from the Living Earth, and this week we're discussing "The Fourth
   Law: The Law of Limits" (pp. 43-53).  I'd like to ask readers to keep their
   questions and comments  focused on that chapter and the  ideas it contains;
   we'll have another Ask  Me Anything post later this month,  and of course a
   substantive monthly post or two in due time.

   In place of an outline, here's the Fourth Law, as it appears in the book:

   Everything that  exists is subject to  limits arising from its  own nature,
   the nature  of the whole system  of which it is  a part, and the  nature of
   existence itself.  Those limits are  as necessary as they  are inescapable,
   and provide the foundation for all the beauty and power each existing thing
   is capable of manifesting.

   The rest of this section of the book expands on the concept this definition
   sketches out.  It's not  an easy concept  for a lot  of people  these days;
   mindless  hostility to  the  entire  concept of  limits  is practically  de
   rigueur these days-which is one of the  core reasons we're in the middle of
   the mess we've  made for ourselves. Questions?  Comments? Discussions? Have
