I do that too. I did however play a variety of games when I was on a trip a few weeks ago, and had a lot of fun with it. although this was one my phone, with a bracket for my ps5 controller. not super ideal tbh, but it was fun regardless [2026-07-26T21:28:30Z] never really played minecraft myself, but I keep seeing it. always been kinda amazed by how popular it is [2026-07-26T21:28:54Z] not sure i get the deal really. maybe I just havent played it in the correct way or something. i dunno [2026-07-26T21:41:52Z] the game is really boring at the surface level [2026-07-26T21:41:56Z] mods to add more content make it a whole lot of fun [2026-07-26T21:42:03Z] niche communities like anarchy servers are a lot of fun [2026-07-26T21:49:07Z] I suppose so. kenshi is also somewhat like this. the base game is.. fine. but where the game really shines, is when you add a bunch of mods to it. and kenshi doesnt even really have a story either. its.. pointless more or less. the only goal is to not die lol [2026-07-26T21:49:45Z] pretty much the same as minecraft but player made goals are what give it its specialness [2026-07-26T21:49:57Z] i figure the same thing there [2026-07-26T21:52:10Z] yeah. kenshi is singleplayer only though. its an rpg game though, so it has some elements which minecraft does not. its nothing super special. its just some stats for the characters, aswell as gear [2026-07-26T21:53:21Z] wait, oh. kenshi appearently has coop now [2026-07-26T21:56:19Z] i usually just play on an anarchy minecraft server called 9b9t [2026-07-26T21:56:22Z] don't join it it's slop [2026-07-26T21:56:34Z] people spamming slurs / doxxing eachother / swatting people over minecraft drama [2026-07-26T21:56:39Z] but i like flying around to find dupe stashes and stuff [2026-07-26T21:56:53Z] and base building feels nicer on an anarchy server because it kinda means more if someone can just come by and blow it up i guess [2026-07-26T21:57:22Z] cheating is of course also allowed so theres a lot that goes into that [2026-07-26T21:58:46Z] there *are* a lot of cool people on here as well though they're just usually not talking in chat / interacting with people [2026-07-26T21:59:14Z] its an interesting mixture of both things [2026-07-26T21:59:53Z] so my "goals" on here are to fly around and find peoples duped items and take them back to my base so i can go really far from spawn to build a big base with friends and it kinda just means more when it needs to be kept hidden [2026-07-26T22:00:23Z] that and oftentimes ill find big stashes of stuff and go give the items to people at spawn so they have a chance of escaping spawn [2026-07-26T22:00:29Z] new players are not liked on here [2026-07-26T22:02:25Z] if i were to play minecraft, it would likely be singleplayer anyway. maybe with some famly members. so im dodging that bullet regardless :P [2026-07-26T22:03:33Z] most of the time in the past ive just played with friends on servers i host [2026-07-26T22:03:45Z] this is my first time getting really into a public server [2026-07-26T22:05:02Z] once i move to my new place i'm probably going to get back to server hosting, this time maybe public servers again [2026-07-26T22:05:06Z] since im getting a fiber line [2026-07-26T22:05:51Z] nice
