pragmatic

Project:
Learning Python, Rust, and all the things

Plan:
I'm currently building iris-t, a fast terminal client for the Iris file-based
social messaging protocol. The project is written in Rust and follows the Elm
Architecture for its state management.

You can follow the development at: https://tildegit.org/pragmatic/iris-t

noface

Plan:
No face. Lofi life on hifi devices.

pgadey

Plan:
Hi, I'm pgadey. I'm a geometer and a dirty open-source hippy. On Fri 2014-12-12, I learned about the tilde.club fad. I was very excited by the whole idea.
I've often thought that most of the social computing stuff we've see in the past decade has
been a re-hashing of the early days of social computing culture at Bell Labs in the 70s.
When I found out about tilde.club, I ran around telling all my friends,
"It's happening! It's happening!"

I hope it keeps happening, too.

I'd like to thank Eric Budd for making this possible.

I've written up some hacks to make ctrl-c more useable.
is a list of what's been updated recently
	-- http://ctrl-c.club/~pgadey/comm.html
is a guide to communicating with write

And now, in 2023, I'm still loving ctrl-c.club.
It's the slowest, plainest, coziest place on the internet.

Project:
* Maintaining (free!) services on nfld.uk takes up most of my hobby time these days; and* Volunteering with IRCNow.org; learning OpenBSD at the same time!

Plan:
Most of my big nfld.uk projects are in a good state:* I've purchased and configured a Synology DiskStation, with automated rsync; and
* I've migrated most of my services to Docker containers running on an old Dell desktop from my mother-in-law(!) ^x^ which freed up my main desktop for fun stuff!
Now, I'm:
* Having fun with a fresh Solus Linux install;
* Spending a bit more time on my neglected OpenBSD server; and
* Finishing my OpenBSD training so I can properly join an IRCNow team as a system administrator.

Plan:
This file is updated every two-three months, so check back now and then.

People know me as No Time To Play. I make games and tools, and write about it. Check out my website: https://ctrl-c.club/~nttp/ It mostly has stuff that can run on a tilde server over SSH, but also small desktop tools.

Drop by the unofficial Ctrl wiki: https://ctrl-c.club/~nttp/wiki/pmwiki.php -- the editor password is 'calamitous' (without the quotes).

Plan:
Hello, I'm jules.I'm an old tinkerer of many things, and just an amateur of
them all.

My current interest is web development, but I'm constantly
distracted by life and other things. So I've made very little
progress in this endeavor.

I never knew there was a .plan file and you can pretty much put
your bio there for other people to read. I've been on this
server for a year (since Decemberish 2023) and I never knew that
finger was a thing you can do to people, and not be considered
inappropriate.

I'm here because I want to become more familiar with working on
a Linux server, and learn all the cool things you can do with
Linux. I'm also using this server to learn how to construct
web pages, and learn how to maintain a log on Gemini.

That's all for now.

Plan:
Hello. My username is ~dheeraj, and I am new to SSH, terminals, bash and unix.

I want to learn, but I am at a loss whenever I see the blinking cursor
on a blank screen. I don't know what to type in, and have to guess. It's
like playing poorly-designed text adventure games. By 'poorly-designed', I
mean the absence of a list of possible commands I can type in.

I think it's pretty clear by now that I don't like guessing commands. I like
that ctrl-C club has a virtual IRC server, but I don't know how to connect
to it from inside the SSH session.

Sorry for going off on a tangent. It shows that I can't think of anything
else that is meaningful to be included in this .plan file. What I found
surprising was that this file was not present in my user directory by default.

"write" to me,
~dheeraj

been enjoying performing noise and ambience as imaginary prisons, including getting to book a show at the living gallery in nyc with two of the members of merveilles.town and one of my friends in the local experimental scene

the vast majority of the music i've been working on has been through bespoke synth, but i've also been increasingly enjoying playing the spoons and messing around with synths on my phone during work. After reading some of microsound by Curtis Roads I've been inspired to do more granular synthesis as that sound has always really appealed to me

spending most of my web-oriented time on my personal site https://proto.garden, its got a lot of my work and thoughts over the years since i've become more of a lurker here.

after finding space in my life away from tech and feeling recovery from the burnout i had around it, i've been looking at all the cool terminal projects that people have been working on here and I think I want to spend some time working on little things around here <3
