 Hi,

This is how you send email using "mail".

 Bye!
 (CTRL + d)

mail can also be used to read email, but it is a bit basic (you can read the manual and give it a go).

Instead you are better off using one of these:

• alpine
• mutt

Both are great email clients.

Alpine has a lot of information on screen and it makes easy to get started as long as you spend some time reading all that information. It is also a good news reader.

Mutt isn't that intuitive, but it is powerful once you get the configuration set, read mutt's manual for that.
